Anna Gill OBE
Anna Gill OBE, trained as a nurse at St Thomas’s Hospital, but gave up her career when her son Jamie was born with a degenerative metabolic condition. Anna has been a parent representative in the world of disability and palliative care for many years and was tasked by the Department for Education to set up and Chair the National Network of Parent Carer Forums. Anna continues to be a champion for the families that The Hamlet supports.
Norman Lamb MP
Member of Parliament for North-Norfolk and Minister of State for Care and Support, Norman Lamb MP officially opened The Hive at Johnson Place in September 2014. Norman continues to support The Hamlet in a number of ways, including donating a Houses of Parliament Tea on the Terrace for the auction at our recent fundraising ball.
Lucy is an international artist, illustrator and designer. She officially opened our Black Butterfly Art Exhibition in 2012 and has lead art workshops with the young people we support. Lucy also led the design and painting of The Hamlet's 2015 mini Go-Go Dragon at Johnson Place with the Early Explorers pre-school.
Josh and Jacob Murphy
Footballers the Murphy twins have supported The Hamlet since their visit to our Children's Service in October 2014. Graduates of Norwich City Football Club's Youth Team, they are currently on loan at other clubs but provide The Hamlet with continued support, particularly through promotion and awareness via social media. Most recently, they kindly donated signed football boots for our auction at our fundraising ball.
Danny Nobbs is currently the Paralympic British Record Holder in both the F54 seated shot put, and more recently the F54 seated javelin following his switch of events. Danny is based in Norwich and works for Aviva on their sponsorship of Norwich City Football Club. His continued support of The Hamlet has proven invaluable.
Michael is a ‘modern gardener’ with a refreshingly relaxed and approachable attitude. Michael recently celebrated his 15-year anniversary with Thompson & Morgan and also enjoys regular slots on BBC Radio Suffolk and TV shopping channel Ideal World. Michael officially opened the new accessible greenhouse at Ella Road in 2014.
Susan began her professional life as a newspaper journalist in her native Dundee. Over the last few years, Susan has become a regular voice on many TV channels as a narrator of countless documentaries. Her work includes BBC Radio 4. Susan has most recently supported The Hamlet by hosting our 'Big Thank You' 2014 Volunteer Awards and acting as auctioneer at our 1950's themed fundraising ball.
Dave Taylor co-presents the Heart Radio Breakfast show weekdays from 6am – 10am. Dave continues to provide valuable support for The Hamlet, in particular providing the voice-over for our short film 'Our Story.'
