Irene Macdonald and the Board of Trustees
Irene is the current Chair of the Board of Trustees who represent and govern The Hamlet. They work closely with the Chief Executive to ensure that the aims of the charity are consistent with that described in the documents held by the Charity Commission, known as the Memorandum of Grant and Articles of Association. They must understand the financial status of the charity and be aware of it’s activities. The board consists of 9 members from a wide range of backgrounds, each one contributing to the development of the charity. They are all volunteers.
Pauline is the Chief Executive with overall responsibility for leading the organisation. This includes financial and strategic management and an overview of service provision and development, ensuring we move to meet the changing needs of families in Norfolk who have a child or adult with a disability.
Lorraine is our adult services manager. She leads a team of nearly 40 staff, managers, team leaders, care and activity organisers and support workers working to provide a range of services to support the needs of adults from 16 years at our day centre at Ella Road and the Out of Hours Club. Lorraine oversees the day to day operational work and developments and ensures that the service reflects the individual needs of over 100 young people using our services.
Matt is the children’s services manager and has responsibility for The Hive, Short Breaks, Early Years and Little Bee sessions. Matt leads a team of over 50 staff, Lead Practitioners, Early Years Practitioners, Support Workers and volunteers. From the pre-school to the Youth Club, each day’s activities are managed by his team. Over 350 families use the children’s services each year.
