“We have been going to The Hamlet Children's Centre since my twins were one year old and they both have additional needs. As they got older and we started going out to groups and activities, it became increasingly difficult to go on my own and to find places that suited them both - it was just really stressful. My son was very confident in wanting to explore but needed quite a bit of help with his physical movement and my daughter could be very shy and needed regular monitoring.
The Stay and Play sessions were brilliant! They allowed us to attend a welcoming, safe environment where both kids got so much out of the sessions. I had help from the same staff and volunteers each week and my kids developed lovely relationships with them and were so happy to attend, which of course meant I could relax and just enjoy playing with them.
The support we had from The Hamlet was fantastic! The children got to experience new activities, playing and interacting with other children and helping to build their confidence. It was so nice to actually watch my kids playing and having fun. Plus, it gave us the opportunity to meet other families who had similar health concerns and experiences.”
