New training workshop for The Hamlet

Over the past 2 years we have been busy developing our programme of training delivered externally and  internally at The Hamlet. Tanya, appointed training coordinator for The Hamlet in 2017, has brought a wealth of knowledge and creativity to support and develop this part of the service. She was incredibly excited to announce the delivery of this new workshop supporting parents/carers and professionals. Tanya says: "I feel so passionate about this particular workshop and pleased that we are going to be able to deliver it. I know, from speaking to many staff and parents, that behaviour is something that so many people struggle. It's great that we are now going to be able to share our knowledge and skills so that people can have practical strategies and solutions for dealing with behaviour."

The workshop will include practical activities and learners will have the opportunity for discussions which will encourage reflection on ways of responding and communicating to challenging behaviour. The emphasis will be on reinforcing positive behaviour through effective communication and positive strategies.

"We are hosting are first workshop on Saturday 29th September" commented Tanya. "There has been a really good up take on places so I really hope we can repeat it again on other dates in the future".
