Staff team day!

"We work hard at The Hamlet and it's good to have a bit of time out." Adult's Centre Senior Manager, Lorraine Ewing tells us about the fun had at a recent staff team building day.
Staff team day

Adults Centre staff recently shared an outdoor team building day at Lion Wood, Thorpe Hamlet. The team spent time building dens, hunting for firewood and enjoying each others company away from the usual working environment.

Lorraine explained "the purpose of the day was to build upon team relationships, share ideas and create new activities that could be used outdoors with our students and members. We even cooked our lunch on the fires we made at the centre, with sticks and grass collected from the woods."

The staff at Ella Road want to include more Forest School activities in future sessions for students and members. Forest School is an inspirational process that offers all participants regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees. Lion Wood is right on our doorstep and a great opportunity for students and members to experience the marvels and seasonal changes of our natural world.
