All 30 of our Run Norwich places have been filled! Already our runners are out training for the 10k run and setting up Total Giving pages to raise as much money as possible for the charity. We have parents, staff members, Hamlet volunteers and a wonderful group of ladies from The Norwich High School for girls, who have all chosen to run for us.
On Wednesday 12th February we are holding a special Run Norwich Hamlet Launch Event for the 30 runners. This will be an opportunity for them to get together, feel motivated to run and raise money as well as receiving a special Hamlet runners goody bag (survival kit for running).
Run Norwich takes place on Sunday 19th July. As part of the event, The Hamlet will have a supporters' spot outside John Lewis where we encourage you to come and cheer on the 30 runners. We will also have a space in the 'Race Village' held at Chapelfield Gardens. The Hamlet will be having a gazebo there so please come along and say hello!
Staff member Jane Crane who is one of our 30 runners said: "I have taken part in Run Norwich before and it is one of the most difficult runs because of the hills and often high temperatures experienced in July! I can't wait though as I really wanted to be able to run for the charity! I get so much back from my job at The Hamlet that I want to do my bit to fundraise and if that means hills and heat then so be it!"
Jane is already training alongside fellow runner and staff member Tom Arger.
We are so very grateful to all those people who have signed up to run for the charity and look forward to supporting and cheering them on race day!
