The Oddfellows is a long-standing friendly society whose main aim is to help people improve the quality of their lives through friendship, care, and charitable support. They also provide a range of member benefits and arrange social meetings and events. They support the work of many local and national charities, as well as giving a helping hand to individuals or groups needing assistance. Every year the group select a local charity to donate to, and this year they chose us.
Tina Hicks, Development Officer for The Trafalgar Branch says, “We are pleased to be able to support The Hamlet Charity for a second time and hope that our donation will be of help for the families, children and young adults who use your wonderful services.”
Matt Garlinge, Marketing and Communications Lead for The Hamlet thanked Oddfellows. He explains, “The support of people who choose to raise money for The Hamlet is essential in helping us to continue the great work that we do to support local families. Our friendship and link with the North Walsham branch of The Oddfellows Society is very important to us and we are so grateful for their continued support.”
Pauline Morgan, CEO spoke about the importance of fundraising for local charity in these challenging times. She comments, “The pandemic has had an enormous impact on the families we support, but due to the generosity of various donors we have been able to continue to offer the excellent support that The Hamlet is known for to our families. At the start it was difficult as we lost all our events fundraising, but slowly we were able to get back on our feet and be inventive with the things we did to raise funds. We are now offering a full service and are looking at ways to increase our service.”
Thank you so much for your continued support Oddfellows.
