Ellie wanted to share her delight in joining the charity and had this to say...
"I am absolutely delighted to join The Hamlet as CEO; I know I have some big shoes to fill! I have seen first-hand the hugely positive impact that Pauline Morgan has had on the charity over the last 10 years, and I hope to be able to build on her inspiring legacy.
I moved to Norwich in 2002 to complete my degree at UEA. I am passionate about improving the lives of children, young people and families across Norfolk and making a real difference for those who face discrimination and marginalisation. I have two children aged 10 and 6, one of whom has additional needs, so The Hamlet is a cause which is extremely close to my heart.
My most recent role was with The Matthew Project as Unity Service and Data Manager. Unity is the Public Health commissioned substance misuse service for young people across Norfolk. I was responsible for three teams based in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, and Kings Lynn supporting more than 300 service users each year. Before that I worked as a practitioner in a variety of roles and settings.
I’m excited about the future and, as The Hamlet moves into its 50th Anniversary year, working with our amazing staff to ensure that we continue to go from strength to strength."
We wish Ellie all the luck in her new journey as part of The Hamlet family.
