Manager Adult Services (Day Opportunities)

This rare opportunity has become available. We are looking for someone who has previous experience managing a team in care or has transferable skills, that can be shared with our adult services.

Do you have the leadership skills that The Hamlet are looking for? Are you organised, a good communicator with a positive attitude? Do you have the ability to be flexible, adaptable and calm to a changing environment? Do you have an understanding of the experiences of disabled people and their families, and an appreciation of the barriers to inclusion that they may face? Do you  have a detailed knowledge and awareness of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults?

Are you able to demonstrate the skills necessary to motivate, encourage, organise, lead and supervise the staff team in a professional manner in a busy working environment. Are you able to lead by example, participate with enthusiasm, observe and share experience.

Role Details:

Hours: 29 hours per week.

Rate of pay: £24,336.00 - £25,477.92 ( pro rata)

Closing date: Monday the 4th of July 12pm

Purpose and Scope of the Role

To implement and lead on our charter:

To support Hamlet Users to be offered a range of day opportunities, supporting the independence, health and wellbeing of individuals.

To ensure that the highest standards of care are adhered to at all times.  This will include  responsibility for setting a positive, inclusive culture, admissions, terminations, overseeing the planning of a programme of activities. To ensure that records of Hamlet Users are maintained.

To carry out formal supervision of staff and volunteers. To induct new staff and carry out probations.

To lead the team of Coordinators, Leads, Support Workers and Volunteers ensuring that all legal obligations and requirements are met on a day-to-day basis.

To deputise for the Operations Manager in periods of absence, planned or unplanned.

You will be required to hold a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and have supplied at least 2 satisfactory references before starting work. Any conviction or adverse report relating to care, children, vulnerable adults, or dishonesty would make a candidate unsuitable for this role.
