We are looking for people who are interested in joining our team of support workers within the Out of Hours service. The role is working on our Saturday Club for adults with disabilities. This offers a great opportunity for students, those wanting days to fit around their family or individuals wanting to gain more experience, as well as those with experience. We are looking for committed, friendly, patient individuals, with good communication skills, who are able to build positive relationships with our members.
Do you have experience of caring for people in either a professional or personal situation? Are you prepared to use the skills you have and demonstrate an enthusiasm, energy and get involved in activities. Are you physically fit, an excellent team player with a flexible approach to your work. Do you understanding the importance for all Members to be treated as adults? That Members are given choice and the opportunity to be involved, to have fun and socialise and how staff can support this. Do you have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people of differing abilities? Do you have an understanding of the experiences of disabled people and their families, and an appreciation of the barriers to inclusion that they may face?

COVID 19 Measures

Role 1: 46 Saturdays a year, 9.30am-4.00pm
Role 2: 23 Saturdays a year ( every other Saturday) 9.30am-4.00pm

Rate of pay: National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage dependant on age
