Opportunities vary from partying with members of our Out of Hours Club at a very special night out, to being an elf supporting Father Christmas in his fully accessible workshop.

Current Volunteering Opportunities
We are looking for a Voluntary Admin Assistant to support our Head Office Team with a range of general administration tasks. This will include supporting the Finance, Training and Fundraising teams. You must be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner and be approachable, enthusiastic and friendly. This role is suitable for someone wishing to gain experience of working in an administrative role and is aimed at someone wishing to volunteer regularly for a 6 month period or longer. Hours are negotiable but would be during normal office opening hours, weekdays.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support us with our fundraising events. Events volunteers will support with a range of activities that could include setting up, running stalls and craft activities, customer services and supporting the event planner. We welcome applicants who are able to volunteer at occasional events as well as those who can offer their time more regularly. This is a great opportunity to be involved with a local charity and make a difference to the lives of many as well as being a fun opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills.
Stay and Play / Nurture Group Assistant
We have a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to work as part of two of our ‘stay and play’ groups aimed at under-fives with additional needs, Sensory Bees and Active Bees and our Nurture Group aimed at babies who have been discharged from the Neo-natal unit.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support us with a range of tasks, including helping us with events, or collecting donations on our behalf. Fundraising Support volunteers will be part of a team of friendly faces in the community, establishing and maintaining links with local people and businesses. You will be supported by our Fundraising, Marketing and Events Coordinator.
Receptionists (Johnson Place)
The Hamlet, Johnson Place Children’s Service is looking for people to volunteer on our reception desk on a Saturday between 9am and 4pm. You will need to be a good communicator taking telephone calls, recording messages and passing on information to the relevant people. We need someone who can conduct themselves in a professional manner as well as being friendly, approachable and enthusiastic about the services we offer. An ability to complete small administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning and laminating would be an advantage.
Youth Club Volunteer
Our Children's Service is looking for volunteers to support our Youth Club which runs Monday and Tuesday evenings 6pm-9pm for 11-18 year olds. You will support children and young people with disabilities to take part in activities and have fun at our evening Youth Club. We require someone who is reliable, a good communicator, sociable, committed and enthusiastic.
