Family Support

"We've only been coming to the Hamlet children's centre for a few weeks but we love the place. The staff are so amazing, informative, kind and nothing is too much for them! We are looking forward to spending more time here, making new friends, gaining advice and support! Thank you for making us feel so welcome!" Parent.

We offer support, advice and guidance to families. The help we can provide includes:

• support with moving from one service to another.
• supporting families to communicate with professionals.
• signposting to useful organisations and professionals.
• promoting useful events.
• providing information about our range of services.

Life with a loved one who has a complex disability or health needs can be stressful and isolating and it can be difficult to find the help and advice you need.

We have a dedicated Family Wellbeing Practitioner who is here to support you.

Nurture
A group for parents, carers and their babies who have experienced a stay in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).

Every child deserves the best possible start in life, enabling them to reach their full potential. We provide a safe, supportive environment where parents can develop their own parenting style.

Our Nurture group runs over a six-week block with space for six families in each cohort. It is designed to support families through their transition out of the ward and into the home. Each week parents have the opportunity to explore a different theme which includes Q&As with professionals. The second half of the sessions include an interactive circle time where families explore different play opportunities and learn story massage techniques.
