Why we need a new kitchen!
The Hamlet has launched an exciting new fundraising appeal to transform the kitchen at our Marion Road Centre into a safe, accessible, and fully equipped space for all of our users and staff to enjoy.
Often described as the heart of the home, the kitchen plays an equally vital role at The Hamlet. It’s where users develop key life skills, build confidence, and gain greater independence – all of which are central to improving their quality of life.
However, the current kitchen was originally designed for catering use and is far from accessible. To continue supporting users effectively, The Hamlet is now seeking to raise £25,000 through a JustGiving appeal to fund a complete refurbishment.
“Our kitchen is such an important part of what we do,” said Lorraine, CEO at The Hamlet. “By creating a space that is fully accessible, safe, and welcoming, we can make a real difference to the lives of the people we support every day.”
Every donation – big or small – will help bring this vision closer to reality and create a kitchen that truly meets the needs of all Hamlet Users and staff.
