Marion Road Grand Opening!
On Wednesday 15th November 2023, we welcomed many of our wonderful supporters to our new Adult’s Service site on Marion Road, and celebrated the launch of our new branding and fundraising campaign.
Guests arrived at 6pm and were greeted with delicious canapes made by The Matthew Project. Shortly after, supporters gathered in front of a wonderful presentation which highlighted the importance of our work at The Hamlet along with archive footage of how The Hamlet came to be!
We were honoured to have some amazing guest speakers who shared their heartfelt personal experiences of what The Hamlet means to them.
Parent of Isabelle, Lindsey Wright, took the stage and delivered an emotional speech, emphasizing her appreciation for Hamlet staff and the service we provide.
We had the privilege to be joined by Caroline Karimi-Ghovanlou, Chairwoman of Broadland District Council, who not only nominated us as her charity of the year, but also officially opened the new centre.
Hamlet user Jack, from our Adult’s Service talked the audience through his timetable and all the exciting activities he gets up to whilst at The Hamlet. Through Jack’s diverse and dynamic sessions, The Hamlet showcases its commitment to empowering children and adults with disabilities and complex health needs, enabling them to experience Life Without Limits.
Ellie, another Hamlet user who attends our Out of Hours sessions, proudly displayed photographs which she has taken. Ellie’s photography was superb, landing her many compliments on her talents during the event!
As the evening drew to a close, we heard some final thoughts from our trustees and our CEO, Ellie Coulson, who shared their vision and passion for The Hamlet.
We are extremely grateful to everyone who joined us and made the night a success. We are very thankful to those who show their continued support and enthusiasm for The Hamlet, your generosity and kindness are truly appreciated and will help us continue to create amazing experiences within our community.
